Final BIOGEA workshop at the European Parliament in January 2020
A Green Architecture for Green Infrastructure?
How the future CAP could support Green and Blue Infrastructures
The BIOGEA project and IUCN organized a workshop presenting the project results kindly hosted by Clara Aguilera MEP and Michal Wiezik MEP at the European Parliament, on 28th of January 2020.
At this event, the results of the BIOGEA project, which examined how agricultural green infrastructures affect biodiversity, were presented. This was followed by a debate on how the new green architecture can ensure that there is enough semi-natural habitat in agricultural landscapes across the EU.
- Presented the findings of the BIOGEA project on:
- the importance of green infrastructure for agricultural biodiversity
- the engagement of farmers in managing green infrastructure
- Allowed space for discussion about an appropriate design of the new green architecture of the CAP
