First BIOGEA roundtables with stakeholders in Bulgaria, Spain and Germany: "How to improve the agricultural management of GBI"
A series of roundtables was conducted in the three partner countries of BIOGEA project:
- in Prevala, Bulgaria /Case study area Western Stara Planina/, held on September 28, 2018, organized by the University of National and World Economy,
- in Hopfingen, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany /Case study area of the municipalities Neckar-Odenwald and Main-Tauber district/, held on October 8, 2018, organized by adelphi research gGmbH and the Institute for Agro-ecology and Biodiversity (ifab),
- in Madrid, Spain /Case study areas Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha/, held on October 10, 2018, organized by the National Museum of Natural Sciences and the University of Extremadura,
- in Plovdiv, Bulgaria /Case study area Plovdiv-Pazardzhik/, held on October 12, 2018, organized by the University of National and World Economy.
The roundtables aimed at introducing the results of the policy fieldwork and biological monitoring to the stakeholders in the project’s case study areas. The benefits and limitations of the Greening scheme for the management of GBI elements were discussed and next project steps were outlined.
