Joint ESENIAS & DIAS Scientific Conference 2019 and 9th ESENIAS Workshop

ESENIAS & DIAS Scientific Conference 2019 and 9th ESENIAS Workshop will be on topic: "Species, ecosystems and areas of conservation concern under threat from the invasive alien species". 

The conference is organized by the Hydrobiological Institute Ohrid (HIO), the East and South European Network for Invasive Alien Species (ESENIAS), the Danube Region Invasive Alien Species Network (DIAS) and the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IBER-BAS).

Dates: 3-6 September, 2019

Venue: Aqualina Hotel, Sveti Stefan, Ohrid, Republic of North Macedonia

Objectives: ESENIAS is a regional data portal on invasive alien species, which will provide data on:

  • invasive alien species in East and South Europe;
  • first findings, distribution and spread of invasive alien species in East and South Europe;
  • risk assessment and management information of invasive alien species;
  • regulations, guidance and scientific references related to invasive alien species in the region.
