Second BIOGEA roundtable in Spain
Second national roundtable with stakeholders of BIOGEA project was held at the National Museum of Natural Sciences in Madrid, Spain, on 18th September, 2019.
The final results of the BIOGEA project were presented, referring to the analysis of political and administrative options for greening payments for the maintenance of green and blue infrastructure (GBI), the effects of the GBI on biodiversity, and the perceptions and attitudes of farmers and other interested sectors (administrations, scientists, agricultural associations, NGOs, Artemisian Foundation and FEDEHESA) in the two Spanish study areas: Extremadura pastures and extensive cereal crops in La Mancha. The results obtained, their potential relevance in the current process of reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), and the context situation were discussed.
